Boat Regatta: - Materials & Construction Plans
|
Rock Hill Ruritan Club Last year's Spring Mulch Sale was successful. Thanks to all who purchased mulch and to those who helped deliver it to our neighbors as a Spring beatification effort. The 2012 sale will be on March 31st. Our Spring Blood Drive will be on May 5th at Mt Ararat Church. Thanks to those who have given in the past to this worthy cause. Whole blood is always needed in this area. Donors are very much appreciated. The next opportunity to donate will be on November 10th. June 2nd will be our Summer Roadside Clean-up project. The Fall project is planned for September 8th followed by another on October 27th. Feel free to join in. It is somewhat like a treasure hunt. The Stafford Cardboard Boat Regatta will be July21st. Some kids are already talking about big plans for building their boats. Please support the sponsors of this important family event. Classes are offered. Our Spring Roadside Clean-up project on March 17th. went well along Furnace Road, off Garrisonville Road (Rt. 610). For further support of the Scholarship program, the Club sold White House Christmas Ornaments in 2011. Thanks to those of you who supported this meaningful project. Join us at our 1st Tuesday 7:00 pm meetings at Vinnys on Garrisonville Road, beside the 610 Carwash. Great food - great fun. |

The
district purchases small toy 'Rudy Bears' and donates them to emergency
personnel for use in consoling small children involved in difficult situations.
In addition, the Club is the proud owner of Rudy Bear himself and he is always happy to be part of your Club functions. He has helped the Rock Hill Fire and Rescue Departments as well as the Stafford County Sheriff's Department. Rudy has appeared at numerous functions including the Cardboard Boat Regatta sponsored by the Club. To reserve time on his schedule, contact chief bear handler David Watson.
